PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for formation of a reflecting film and to enable long-period preservation by forming the reflecting film of gold having a specific film thickness by a non-gas ion plating method on the surface of a plastic disk. CONSTITUTION:A wire of gold 5 is inserted into a filament 4 and the gaseous pressure in a vacuum vessel 1 is reduced. Voltages are impressed to a substrate holder 7 and exciting plates 12, 15 respectively from high-frequency power supplies 10, 14, 17 to energize the filament 4. The ionization of the gold is progressed by adequately adjusting matching circuits 9, 13, 16 and the thin film of the gold is formed at 100-400Angstrom thickness on the surface of the plastic substrate 8. The non-gas ion plating device is used for formation of said film, by which the time required for the film formation is shortened and the long- period preservation is enabled. |
