The present invention relates to a display panel unit and a display device, capable of reducing or preventing an interference pattern. According to an embodiment, the display panel unit includes a reflective polarizing layer, a transparent layer, and a display panel. The display panel unit has an incident surface of light and an emitting surface on the opposite side of the incident surface, and transmits a first polarized component of the light incident to the incident surface to the emitting surface while reflecting a second polarized component perpendicular to the first polarized component of the light incident to the incident surface. The transparent layer has a first surface adhering to the incident surface of the reflective polarizing layer and a second surface on the opposite side of the first surface, and transmits the first and second polarized components of the light incident to the second surface to the first surface while transmitting the second polarized component reflected by the reflective polarizing layer to be incident to the first surface to the second surface. The display panel faces the emitting surface of the reflective polarizing layer, and selectively transmits the light emitted from the emitting surface. |
