PURPOSE:To surely remove a paint film from an end of a drum in a short time by repeatedly immersing the end of the drum having the paint film formed on the peripheral surface in a solvent which can dissolve the paint film. CONSTITUTION:An end of a drum 10 having a paint film of a photosensitive material, etc., formed on the peripheral surface is immersed in a solvent 21 which can dissolved the paint film, e.g., THF in a tank 20 to remove the paint film from the end of the drum 10. At this time, the end of the drum 10 is repeatedly immersed 15-30 times by relatively moving the drum 10 and the tank 20 and the end is immersed for 0.4-2sec in each stage. The paint film on the peripheral surface of the end of the drum can surely be removed in a short time. |
