PURPOSE:To immediately give information of the occurrence of an accident, to the outside, by providing a vehicle with an accident indicating lamp so that the lamp is lighted by the cutoff of an optical fiber caused by a shock which acts to a buffer when the vehicle collides. CONSTITUTION:When an amplifier 17 is put in operation as a result of closure of a switch 21 caused by turning on an ignition key, an optical signal is continuously applied from a light emitter 15 to a photodiode 16 through an optical fiber 13 so that a relay coil 18 is energized through the amplifier. For that reason, an accident operating switch 25 is opened so that an accident indicating lamp 30 is off. When a collision accident has occurred to a vehicle to give a shock to a buffer 12 to cut off the optical fiber 13, the optical signal is blocked from the photodiode 16 so that the drive of the amplifier 17 is stopped. As a result, the relay coil 18 is deenergized to close the switch 25 to light the accident indicating lamp 30. |
