In the case of an electrical gas-blast circuit breaker, the circuit breaker framework (1), which contains two parallel supports (2, 3), supports both the interrupter units and, in addition to other appliances, the control cabinet (7) from which those electrical cables emerge which are required for the circuit breaker's own wire and are arranged in conduits (10). The control cabinet (7) is mounted externally on one of the supports (2) and is supported on the other support (2) via angled struts (8). In order to simplify the construction of the circuit breaker framework (1), the angled struts (8) are arranged at the point (9) at which the electrical cables emerge from the control cabinet (7). They have a horizontal region (16) located in front of said control cabinet (7) and an upper cover (17) under which the conduits (10) with the cables are mounted, at least one of the mountings (13) for the conduits (10) being located in the horizontal region (16) of the angled strut (8). The angled strut (8) is thus a supporting body and protection body for the conduits (10) with the cables.
