PURPOSE:To carry out the ignition of the explosives by an impulse needle via a weight by means of the inertial force at the time of collision by energizing the impulse needle for igniting the operating explosives of a seat belt, an air bag, etc., with a spring while engaging the impulse needle with a trigger member and engaging a projecting part provided o the weight with the trigger member. CONSTITUTION:When a deceleration above a defined value (collision) occurred on a vehicle, the sudden deceleration is detected and the ignition of explosives is carried out to perform the stretching operation of a seat belt and the rapid expansion of an air bag, carrying out the operation of these rider protecting devices. An operating impulse needle 23 is energized by springs 24, 26 and slidably inserted in the guide hole 22 of a sensor body 20, and the inward projections 28 of inverted L-shaped trigger members 27 are engaged with the groove part 30 of the impulse needle 23. The lower projecting parts 33 of a pair of swingably supported weights 21 are engaged with the outward projections 31 and forward projections 32 of the trigger members 27, to rotate the trigger members 27 via the action of the weights 21 due to the inertial force at the time of collision, thereby, securely and effectively carrying out the ignition of explosives by means of the impulse needle 23. |
