摘要 PURPOSE:To improve shock resistance, and to miniaturize a mechanism by providing a concave mirror with an optical path folding function as an illuminating means, and providing an optical system that plural concave mirrors with the optical path folding function are combined for correcting aberration as an imaging means. CONSTITUTION:In respect of light expanding in y-axis direction, the illuminating concave mirror 2 is an elliptical surface having its focuses at the light emitting part of an LED 1 and on a reading line, and in respect of x-axis direction, it is a spherical surface having curvature to converge illumination light at the vicinity of the principal point of imaging mirror systems 4a, 4b, 4c. Therefore, the light expanding in y-axis direction from the LED 1 is converged on the reading line, but the light expanding in x-axis direction comes to be the line-shaped illumination light. Besides, all the imaging mirror systems 4a, 4b, 4c are ellipsoids, and the light is converged and aberration-corrected by the mirror system, and is imaged on the light receiving surface of a CCD 5. Since these concave (convex) mirrors 4a, 4b, 4c are formed in one body with a case, they are strong against the shock as differing from the lens, and in addi tion, are cheap and can be manufactured by mass-production, and in addition, the optical system having been aberration-corrected can be constituted by using them.
