PURPOSE:To allow a driver to know his or her vehicle position with a small error in whichever country he or she is by combining self-navigation with radio wave nagivation. CONSTITUTION:A traveling path information subsystem 1 integrates the output of an acceleration sensor to calculates the traveling path from a starting point and a radio wave nagivation assisting subsystem 2 receives a radio wave of radio wave nagivation, e.g. loran C navigation to measure the absolute position of the moving body. A position composing circuit 4 when receiving the reset signal of a traveling distance monitor 3 initializes position data as its output. In this case, the loran output of a control circuit 5 is used as its initial value. Acceleration vectors from the subsystem 1 are integrated after the initialization and added to the initial value successively to obtain position data. |
