PURPOSE:To produce a magnetic paint of a high dispersity within a short time, by using a ferromagnetic powder, a binder and an organic solvent as materials and performing their kneading or dispersing with the optimal kneader or disperser in the optimal solid matter concentration in each of four steps. CONSTITUTION:A ferromagnetic powder, a binder and a solution Y1 of a binder in an organic solvent are kneaded together at a high shear with a continuous twin-screw kneader 1 to prepare a mixture K1 of a solid matter content of 65-95wt.% (step 1). A binder solution Y2 and, optionally, an organic solvent are added to mixture K1, and the resulting mixture is kneaded and diluted at a high shear with a continuous twin-screw kneader 5 to prepare a primary diluted product K2 of a solid matter content of 50-70wt.% (step 2). An organic solvent is added to this product K2, and the resulting mixture is diluted and dispersed with a high-speed stone mill to prepare a secondary diluted product K3 of a solid matter content of 25-50wt.% (step 3). This product K3, as such or after being added to an organic solvent, is finely dispersed to prepare a dispersion K4 of a solid matter content of 25-45wt.% (step 4). This dispersion K4 is optionally mixed with a curing agent, a lubricant and a dispersant to obtain a magnetic paint. |
