The invention relates to an apparatus insert for telecommunications technology, whose housing consists of a highly thermally conductive material, wall parts which are arranged at right angles to one another being connected by means of screws whose longitudinal axes are arranged in the plane of those wall parts which are upright. The incorporation of deep blind holes of small cross-section in the thin and soft wall material is very time-consuming and difficult, as is the subsequent cutting of the thread. Furthermore, the internal thread easily tears out. It is proposed to fit grooves, lying in the longitudinal axis of the screws, in the upright wall parts, and to provide a recess in a section of these grooves, into which recess a threaded nut can be pressed. <IMAGE>
