PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and the whiteness of the titled paper by incorporating the emulsified dispersion or the latex dispersion of an oil-soluble brightening agent in at least one layer of a hydrophilic colloidal layer which is applied on the same surface to a silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized with a specified color matter. CONSTITUTION:The hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer is applied on a supporting body, and said emulsion layer is spectrally sensitized with at least one of a cation type tricarbocyanine color matter and/or a cation type dicarbocyanine color matter. The emulsified dispersion or the latex dispersion of the oil-soluble brightening agent is incorporated in at least one layer of the hydrophilic colloidal layer which is applied on the same surface to the silver halide emulsion layer. And, said color matter can function as an IR-spectrally sensitized color matter. Thus, the whiteness and the sensitivity of the titled paper are improved. |
