A shovel attachment for a fork lift truck has a shovel (11) tiltably supported on a basic frame (2) into which the prongs of the fork lift truck can be retracted. A holding-down appliance (11) retains the shovel (11) in its horizontal position and a restoring tension spring (6) stressed when the shovel (11) tilts down pulls the empty shovel back to its horizontal position, where it is again retained by the holding-down appliance (4). The retention of the shovel (11) by the holding-down appliance can be released from the driver's cab of the fork lift truck by means of a traction cable. |
