PURPOSE:To improve the assembling precision of a slider by combining the slider and a magnetic core in the semiprocessed state and forming the edge of a floating rail by working and setting the exposed core to a prescribed width. CONSTITUTION:A slit 13 is formed at the time of forming an edge 12b of a slider material 11a, and a magnetic core material 14a is buried and fixed in the slit 13 by an adhesive 18. An edge 12b of a floating rail 12 is formed by working to expose a magnetic core 14 to the edge 12b, and a core floating face 14b in the front end of the core 14 is worked to a prescribed core width (w). By such a method, the degradation of electromagnetic conversion efficiency due to the length of a thickness reducing part is eliminated, and the slider 11 and the core 14 are simultaneously worked to improve the working precision. |
