PURPOSE:To easily confirm RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability) functions by giving an access to an address space provided exclusively for confirmation of the RAS functions. CONSTITUTION:A space exclusive for confirmation of the RAS functions is secured at a part of an entire address space and a data processor 1 gives an access to said space. Thus an address bit is partly converted into the contents of a conversion address register 91 which are set previously. Then a AND circuit 93 opens when the converted address shows an area of a main memory added with an ECC (error correction code). Thus a modifying access of the ECC is carried out and the circuit 93 opens in case the converted address shows an interface area added with a parity. Thus a parity modifying access is carried out. As a result, the procedure is simply carried out for confirmation of the RAS functions. |
