LASER BEAM RESISTANT MATERIAL

摘要

A shielding material for protecting a matter from a laser beam impingement is manufactured from a composite that comprises a dispersion of 25-35 wt.% of particulate graphite in a polymer matrix. The graphite is pref. a particulate pyrolytic graphite having an average particle size of 50-100 microns, and the matrix is a silicone rubber. The shielding material is resistant to the laser beam and useful for manufacturing endotracheal tubes for surgery.
