PURPOSE:To improve the effect of inhibiting oxide scale formation by incorporating a specific terminal aminated silicon compd. as an effective component into a titled inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:The terminal aminated silicon compd. expressed by the formula I is incorporated into the component of the scale inhibitor. This scale inhibitor is coated as a pretreating agent on a metallic material to be welded to previously form the liquid film essentially consisting of the inhibitor. The surface of the metallic material on which the liquid film is formed is subjected to resistance welding, then the coating material has heat resistance and, therefore, the film coating material remains liquid on the surface of the metallic material during welding and before cooling to completely prevent the oxidation of the metallic material. The film which consists of the silicon compd. is not broken even by the high temp. at the time of the resistance welding and, therefore, the formation of the scale is completely prevented. |
