<p>PURPOSE:To secure target angle resolution width by varying the level of the sum pattern of a phased array antenna through a step-variable attenuator according to a beam scanning angle and controlling the level difference between a sum pattern and a difference pattern. CONSTITUTION:When the phased array antenna 3 has a beam scanning angle phi, the angle resolution width where the level difference between the sum pattern 13 and difference pattern 14 is L is increased with the scanning angle phi and becomes an angle W1 on condition that the attenuation quantity of the step- variable attenuator 15 is zero. Consequently, a level controller 16 sets an attenuation quantity A in an attenuator 15 according to the beam scanning angle phifrom an antenna beam controller 4 to lower the level of the sum pattern 13 of an antenna 3 by A. Consequently, angle resolution width is narrowed down from W1 to W2 and target angle resolution width is secured.</p> |
