PURPOSE:To form a cyan dye image superior in photographic characteristics, by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material in the presence of a cyan coupler having specified substituent groups at the 2-, 4-, and 5-positions of the phenol ring of a phenol type cyan coupler. CONSTITUTION:A cyan dye image is formed by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material in the presence of a phenol type cyan coupler substd. by a phenylureido group having at least one of groups having formulae I and II (R is H, alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic) on the 2-position of the phenol ring, H or a group releasable upon the coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent of its 4-position, and an acylamino group on its 5-position. |
