摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To alleviate an iron loss and a copper loss by providing at least one magnetic branch, and split first and second core sections, and providing a first serial winding wound on the first core section, a branch winding wound on the first core section, a second serial winding wound on the second core section and connected in reverse polarity to the first winding, and a control winding for controlling the magnetic flux density of the magnetic branch by altering at least part of magnetic saturated state of the second core section. CONSTITUTION:A voltage regulating autotransformer 10 has a first core section 12a, a second core section 12b, and a transformer core 12 including a magnetic branch 14. A first serial winding 16 and a branch winding 18 are wound on the core section 12a of the core 12, while a second serial winding 20 is wound on the core section 12b. The winding 16 is connected between a high voltage terminal U and an intermediate voltage terminal (u), and the winding 18 is connected in series in the same polarity with the winding 16. The winding 20 is connected in reverse polarity to the winding 16. In order to control the magnetic flux density of the branch 14, a saturable core 22 and a control winding 24 are provided. The windings 16, 18 are wound on the section 12a of a center leg 26, and the winding 20 is wound in reverse polarity to the winding 16 on the section 12b. Wound on the core 22, and a variable DC control current is supplied from a DC power source 36. An AC current component is not induced in the core 22, but only the magnetic flux generated by the DC control current magnetically saturates part of the section 12b.</p>
