<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the discharge of night soil into sewage by aerating the night soil-based sewage contg. a hexane extract for more than four days, and then separating solid from liq. CONSTITUTION:The night soil 1 is received in a receiving tank 2 wherein the coarse foreign matter in the night soil is crushed by a crushing pump, transferred to a screen 3, and skimmed. The skimmed night soil 4 is transferred to an aeration tank 5, air is introduced from a blower 6 through a diffuser 7, and aeration is carried out for about four days. The night soil is then transferred to a solid-liq. separation stage 8, and separated into separated water 9 and solid matter 10. The separate water 9 is discharged into sewerage, and the solid matter 10 is sent to a solid matter disposal stage 12 along with the screenings 11 from the screen 3. By this method, the hexane extract in the night soil can be easily removed, flocculated sludge difficult to treat and dispose is not generated since chemicals are not used, and the load in sludge treatment is reduced.</p> |
