PURPOSE:To prevent an offset from being generated by small-amount coating by specifying the surface tension of the offset preventive liquid. CONSTITUTION:Oil (e.g. methyl phenyl oil) whose surface tension is >=23 dyne/cm is used as the offset preventive liquid 2. Then, the surface of the heat roller 4 of a fixing device which heats and presses copying paper 1 to fix a toner image, is coated with the preventive liquid 2 by a coating means 20 and the liquid is stuck uniformly in a particulate shape by a blade 24. The use of the preventive liquid 2 prevents an offset from being generated by small- amount coating, so mechanical trouble in the device, the staining of the copying paper 1, etc., due to the vaporization of the liquid are evaded. |
