PURPOSE:To start a vehicle under low speed range by switching speed change range automatically to low speed range upon stoppage of vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a running vehicle is stopped, it is judged whether the vehicle is in 2-speed range based on a signal fed from a position sensor, and if the vehicle is in 2-speed range, it is judged whether brake is operated based on a signal fed from a brake sensor. When the brake is operated, it is judged whether vehicle speed V is lower than a first setting speed Vo based on a signal fed from a vehicle speed sensor, and if V<=Vo, time T elapsed from the time point when the vehicle speed is Vo is counted, and if T>=T1 (T1 is a predetermined time interval), the vehicle is switched to 1-speed range. These operations are carried out through a control circuit. |
