PURPOSE:To form rapidly an image having the super high contrast by developing a negative type silver halide photosensitive material with a developer having the high stability by incorporating a specified hydrazine derivative and a prescribed dihydroxy benzene derivative, in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The hydrazine derivative shown by formula I and the dihydroxy benzene derivative shown by formula II are incorporated in the emulsion layer or the another hydrophilic colloidal layer of the negative type silver halide photosensitive material. In the formula, A1 and A2 are each hydrogen atom, or one of them is hydrogen atom, and an another of them is a sulfinic acid residual group, etc., R1 is an aliphatic or an aromatic group, etc., R2 is H or alkyl group, etc., G is carbonyl or sulfonyl group, etc., R3-R6 are each H or hydroxyl group, etc., at least one of the groups R1 and R2 is a group capable of accelerating the absorption to silver halide. And, the titled material image- wisely exposed, is developed with the developer which has a prescribed pH and contains a prescribed amount of a sulfurous ion. |
