PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having excellent rigidity, impact resistance, tensile strength, flowability, and heat resistance, by mixing a specified grafted modified polyolefin elastomer and a polyamide. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. mixture of a peroxide-crosslinkable olefin copolymer rubber (e.g., an ethylene/propylene/ethylidenenorbornene copolymer rubber) and an olefin plastic (e.g., a propylene/ethylene copolymer) is mixed with 0.01-10pts.wt. alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative) or unsaturated epoxy monomer [e.g., (meth)acrylic acid, glycidyl (meth)acrylic acid or glycidyl (meth) acrylate]. The mixture thus obtained is dynamically treated in the presence of an organic peroxide to give a partially crosslinked grafted modified polyolefin elastomer (A). Component A is them mixed with a polyamide (B) in a weight ratio of A to B of 5:95-50:50 to give the title composition. Component A serves to impart impact resistance, flowability, and heat resistance to the composition and component B, to impart rigidity, heat resistance, and high-temperature flowability thereto. |
