<p>Methods and compositions useful for treating acquired immune deficiency syndrome by once daily administration of substances characteristic of acquired immune deficiency syndrome-afflicted cell (such as human chorionic gonadotropin), and effective fragments and derivatives thereof, in a pharmaceutically effective amount less than the lowest amount necessary to provoke a humoral immune response, as exemplified by the existence of a negative wheal upon subcutaneous administration. Illustrative of such methods and compositions is the administration of a composition including human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), a lysate of Staphylococcus aureus, influenza virus vaccine, and fractionated HIV virus, including peptide T.</p> |
