A closure element (1), in particular a sliding closure element for a sliding closure on a vessel containing molten metal, has at least one throughflow channel (2, 3) and can be interchangeably inserted in a stationary or mobile support frame (4). To prolong its service life, the closure element (1) is traversed by at least two throughflow channels (2, 3) the openings (5, 6; 7, 8) of which lie in different, preferably flat, surfaces (9, 10; 11, 12), in particular different working surfaces, of the closure element (1). Also described is a sliding closure with such a closure element. |
