PURPOSE: To strengthen mechanically and prevent contacts from touching with human body or use in opposite direction or upside down by changing the shape from a card into a stick, burying IC chip inside, placing contacts at bottom and lateral sides of grooves, and also providing circumferential projections. CONSTITUTION: Mechanical strength many times over a card is obtained by making a shape to be stick type. It is also devised to avoid cross-sectional geometry from linear or rotational symmetry and to insert into the reader in the fixed direction by providing projection 3 for preventing erroneous insertion. So as not to be inserted in opposite direction into the reader, projections 4 for preventing erroneous insertion is provided at the upper side of the stick 1, an IC chip 5 as the heart is structured to be buried inside the main body 1, and leads have been extracted from the IC chip 5 toward circumference to connect with contacts 2. Further, hands hardly touch the contacts directly and possibility of electrostatic damage on the IC chip becomes very low because the main body is made slightly concave for each of contacts 2. |
