PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability in the engagement of a protruding stripe body and a recessed stripe body, by a method wherein a fastener material for a bag is folded double in a V-shape so as to be closely brought into contact with both surfaces of a fold-up plate and pressure is applied to the protruding stripe body and the recessed stripe body directly opposed to each other after passing the fold-up plate from the outside to be engaged and pulled. CONSTITUTION:A fastener material 1 for a bag is guided to a guide roll 9 from below so that a protruding stripe body 102 and a recessed stripe body 103 are brought into contact with the surface of the roll to be allowed to flow in a planar state in the direction of a fold-up plate 7. The fastener material 1 is folded double in a V-shape by pushing up the intermediate line position of the protruding stripe body 102 and a recessed stripe body 103 from below by the fold-up plate 7, and the protruding strip body 102 and the recessed stripe body 103 are exactly received in the narrow groove 71 and wide groove 72 carved in both surfaces of the fold-up plate 7 to be pressed to the grooves by guide rolls 13, 13. Subsequently, the protruding stripe body 102 and the recessed stripe body 103 directly opposed to each other after passing the fold-up plate 7 are strongly held under pressure by engaging rolls 14, 14 to be engaged with each other. In this state, the fastener material 1 for the bag is pulled by a rubber roll 17 and a backup roll 15. |
