PURPOSE:To smoothly execute focusing with high accuracy by controlling delicately the position of a focusing lens by allowing it to correspond to the position of a valuable resistor for manual focus. CONSTITUTION:The focusing device is constituted of a lens 1, an image pickup element 2, a camera circuit 3, an auto focus signal generating circuit 4, a deciding circuit 5 for a motor moving direction, focusing, namely, a motor stop, etc., a comparator circuit 6 for detecting the error quantity, a manual/auto changeover switch circuit 7, a focusing motor control circuit 8, a motor driving circuit 9, a focusing motor 10, a potentiometer 11 for detecting a position of a focusing lens, and a variable resistor 12 being a manual focus adjusting means. According to such a constitution, at the time of adjusting a focus manually, the switch 7 is selected to the M side and an auto focus circuit consisting of the circuit 4 and 5 is detected, and the lens 1 is stopped exactly at a distance determined by the movable position of the resistor 12. In such a way, focusing can be executed by only operating the resistor 12. |
