PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a separator for cell to operate for a long time without deteriorating the effect of the cell by planting an ion exchange fiber to a microporous membrane in the electrostatic painting. CONSTITUTION:A separator for cell is manufactured by planting an ion exchange fiber to a microporous membrane in the electrostatic painting. The ion exchange fiber is formed by introducing a cation exchange radical to a normal fiber, and can be used by selecting as desired from a fiber group of polyester type fiber, polyamide type fiber, polyurethane type fiber, and the like. And as the microporous membrane, a polyolefine type microporous membrane is used for example. Since the ion exchange fiber is planted almost vertical to the foundation membrane, the membrane resistance presents about the same value as that of the foundation membrane, increasing the maintaining capacity of bromine and decreasing the self-discharge, and the coulomb efficiency is improved. |
