<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a simple rear wheel steering mechanism by providing a parallel shaft slidably for a slidable steering rod of the front wheel steering mechanism of a rack pinion type via a speed reduction interlocking mechanism, and letting a rear wheel steering connection shaft be slidable via a rack formed separately. CONSTITUTION:A steering shaft 1a connected with a handle wheel 1 enables a steering rod 11 to be displaceable to the axial direction via a PS control valve 16 by means of a rack pinion mechanism 12 so that front wheels 2 may be steered by a PS working cylinder 15, a tie-rod 13 and a knuckle arm 14. A parallel shaft 15 is made to be slidable through a speed reduction mechanism 53 consisting of pinion gears 54 and 56, thereby letting a connecting rod 3 of a rear wheel steering mechanism be drivable by both a rack 52a and a pinion 52b formed separately. The force of the PS working cylinder 15 will never actuate the connecting shaft 3 of the rear wheel steering mechanism, thereby attempting the provision of a whole constitution which is small in size and is mechanically simple.</p> |
