PURPOSE: To obtain a fibrous exothermic body having a prescribed range of electric resistance, flexural resistance and wear resistance, and sufficient flexibility by forming a polyurethane resin layer dispersing and containing carbon fine powder around a core yarn. CONSTITUTION: This fibrous exothermic body having an electroconductive layer of 1-100 KΩ/m electric resistance is obtained by applying a solution containing 100 pts.wt. (solid part) of a polyurethane resin dissolved in dimethylformamide, etc., and containing and dispersing 30-100 pts.wt. of carbon black having 1-500 mμm particle diameter and/or graphite fine powder having 0.1-100μm particle diameter to a core yarn comprising fine fibers such as polyamide or polyester. This exothermic body has enriched flexibility and flexure resistance and wear resistance, then widely and effectively can be utilized for an electric blanket, an electric carpet, etc.
