The invention relates to a method for introducing oxygen into water, in particular into stagnant relatively shallow surface waters and canals made eutrophic for reinforcing the aerobic mineralisation process and the phosphate degradation. A pump sucks in water at one position of the water body. The water is conducted via one or more pipes or a floating channel at high velocity to a remote second position of the water body and there discharged again. In the water body there is established a large-volume, very slow but yet turbulent backflow, in which new lower-oxygen water continuously arrives at the surface, absorbs oxygen from the atmosphere there, submerges with the dissolved oxygen and releases it at depth to animal life forms and, in particular, to aerobic bacteria which aerobically mineralise therewith dead organic matter, including the phosphate contained therein. In addition, water can be enriched with oxygen in the pipes or in the channel open to the atmosphere.
|
