The invention relates to a seat guide for the longitudinally adjustable mounting of a seat in a vehicle, with at least one profiled guide rail on the floor and at least one profiled seat rail arranged on the seat and at least partially enclosed by the guide rail, and with sliding elements or castors guided in at least one cage between the guide rail and the seat rail. The core of the invention consists in that cages for the sliding elements or castors are provided as guide elements between the guide rail on the floor and the seat rail on the seat and have a web with a recess for receiving in each case at least one castor as well as levers and handles for guiding the seat rail relative to the guide rail.
