NEW MATERIAL:Physiologically active substances KSB-1939H2 (R is methyl) and KSB-1939H4 (R is ethyl) expressed by the formula (R is methyl or ethyl). USE:A natural physiologically active substance capable of exhibiting powerful insecticidal, acaricidal and anthelmintic effects. PREPARATION:A microorganism, belonging to the genus Streptomyces and capable of producing the compounds expressed by the formula, e.g. strain KSB-1939 (FERM-P No.1901), is cultivated to collect the compounds expressed by the formula alone or as a mixture from the resultant culture. |
