PURPOSE:To obtain superior compatibility with a binder resin and electrophotographic characteristics, such as high sensitivity by forming on a conductive supporting body a photoconductive layer composed of a layer containing a phthalocyanine type pigment and a layer containing a specified benzalacetophenone-N,N-diphenylhydrazone derivative. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer formed on the conductive supporting body is composed of the thin electric charge generating layer of <=5mmu, preferably, 0.1-1mmu film thickness containing the phthalocyanine type pigment as a charge generating material and formed on said layer, and the charge transfer layer containing as a charge transfer material, one of the benzalacetophenone-N, N-diphenyl hydrazone derivatives represented by formula I in which R is dialkyl amino or diphenylamino group, thus permitting superior compatibility with the binder resin and high sensitivity electrophotographic characteristics to be obtained. |
