PURPOSE:To improve cleaning efficiency by a method wherein when the feeding paper amount fed to a printing head reaches a predetermined value, an ink feeding section is activated to force the ink feeding to the printing head in order to clean the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding signal C from a control section 4 actuates a paper feeding sprocket S through a motor control section 10, a driving section 11 and a motor M. Simultaneously, when the amount of the paper reaches a predetermined value of a register 5 counted by a counter 6, a purge control section 9 is actuated by a signal of a discriminating section 7. The control signal E thereof actuates a purge mechanical section 2 through a driving section 8 in order to feed the ink in the ink tank 1 to a printing head 3 compulsively. A predetermined amount of ink is jetted from a nozzle N for cleaning. In this way, the nozzle is cleaned in accordance with the actual printing amount, thus improving the cleaning efficiency. |
