PURPOSE:To stabilize potential in uniform electrification, by changing a static eliminating light quantity fitting to the fatigue recovery characteristic of a photosensitive body due to a pause time and a consecutive operation. CONSTITUTION:To a microcomputer 20 which controls the static elimination lamp 27 of a photosensitive drum, a ROM21 in which a control program and a duty factor table are stored, counters A-C, and a RAM22 on which a flag and a timer are set are connected. And since the light fatigue on the surface of the photosensitive body is increased gradually according to a consecutive operation while it is performed, the static eliminating light quantity before the process of the uniform electrification is decreased gradually. Also, when the next operation is started after pause, the quantity is set so as to be increased corresponding to the length of the pause time, and also, increasing speed is set at the speed at which the static eliminating light quantity at the time of starting the preceding operation can be attained rapidly. In such a way, it is possible to maintain the potential on the surface of the photosensitive body constant. |
