PURPOSE:To cause the arrangement of skin material to be easily achieved by a method in which an opening is formed in the position of the skin material corresponding to the vicinity of the inner end of the sprue of a mold, when the mold is closed, and then synthetic resin is caused to flow into the rear surface of the skin material through this opening. CONSTITUTION:Skin material is set in between a stationary mold 12 and a movable mold 13, and the molds and clamped. Simultaneously with this, while the skin material is nipped in between the stationary mold 12 and the movable mold 13, the skin material 21 is cut by the upper edge 19 and the lower edge 20 in a sprue part 14, whereby a slitlike opening 22 is formed. In this state, when synthetic resin is injected from the sprue 14, the synthetic resin 23 enters the runner 15 on the rear surface of the skin material 21 from opening 22 of the skin material 21, and further the resin is introduced into a cavity 17 through a gate 16, whereby injection molding is achieved from the rear surface of the skin material 21, i.e. from the side of the movable mold 13. In this molding, since the opening 22 is formed on the skin material 21 when the molds are clamped, the positioning in the setting process of the skin material 21 may be relatively rough, and some shift thereof after setting is also allowed. |
