<p>PURPOSE:To keep humidity of air at an extremely low humidity by providing an extremely low temp. heat exchange element. CONSTITUTION:Moisture in the air passed through a coil 3 is deposited as frost on the surface of the coil 3 held at about -40 deg.C by a coolant passed through the cooling coil 3 from an external unit 4 outside of a refrigerating chamber. Then, the surface temp. of the coil 3 is switched to a heating condition wherein the temp. of the surface of the coil 3 is elevated to about 1 deg.C. Thus, the frost deposited on the surface of the coil 3 is melted, and dropped into a water receiver 6 and discharged through a communicating pipe 8 to a water tank in the outdoor. The air in a room A is dehumidified to an extremely low humidity by the repetition of the above described cycle.</p> |
