摘要

PURPOSE: To optically compensate the undesirable absorption of an image dyestuff without losing desirable image forming characteristics by incorporating a compd. releasing a dyestuff emitting fluorescence in a region of a spectrum in which the undesirable absorption is optically compensated as a function of development into an image forming element. CONSTITUTION: An image forming element including a substrate and a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a dyestuff image forming coupler giving an image dyestuff having desirable absorption in a 1st region of a spectrum and undesirable absorption in a 2nd region at the time of developing silver halide is exposed, and the imagewise exposed part of the element is developed with a developing agent. During this development, a dye emitting fluorescence in a certain region of a spectrum and optically compensating the undesirable absorption is released and the undesirable absorption is optically compensated.
