PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having beautiful transparent appearance and excellent storage stability and giving the skin with high moisture-retaining property, softness and moist feeling, by compounding triethyl citrate with a liquid polyhydric alcohol and a liquid fatty acid ester having branched chain. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic can be produced by compound (A) triethyl citrate, (B) a liquid polyhydric alcohol, e.g. ethylene glycol, glycerol or sorbitol and (C) a liquid fatty acid ester having branched chain, e.g. 2- ethylhexanoic acid triglyceride or isopropyl myristate. The amounts of the components A, B and C are 5-90wt.%, 5-80wt.% and 5-90wt.% respectively and the sum of A and C is 20-95wt.% based on the final composition. The feeling such as moistness, refreshingness, etc., can be further improved by the addition of at most 5wt.% of water. |
