The disposable hygienic receptacle, for a cat or any other pet, comprising a tray 1, made of a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard, which may contain a litter of a moisture-absorbing product, consisting of a bottom and side walls, is characterised in that at least one of the said walls is provided with a flap 20 so as to form, in a first position in which it is upright, a house structure 2 surmounting the tray 1, and, in a second position in which it is folded down, a closure lid. <IMAGE>
