Belt-tightening monitoring device for a belt comfort device

A belt-tightening monitoring device for a belt comfort device for the automatic adjustment of a comfort zone in a self-winding safety belt has, in order to produce a structurally simple design with a high degree of operational reliability, a rotatable support with two belt deflection rollers which are diametrically arranged thereon and between which the belt is guided. The support is loaded with a torque which acts in the belt pulling-out direction and is adjusted in such a way that the support adopts a certain zero rotation position in the case of a desired value of belt tightening set by the belt comfort device. A detector monitors rotation of the support out of the zero rotation position and generates an output signal which switches on the belt comfort device in order to adjust the belt setting.
