A process for the production of absorber materials is described, in which fly ash from brown-coal- or bituminous-coal-fired power stations is subjected to pneumatic flotation, if required with addition of acid, activated charcoal and/or activated coke being separated off and then if required being subjected to air classification and/or separation in the hydrocyclone, porous silicate sinter particles being separated off.
