PURPOSE:To enhance fixability of a low-temperature fixable toner, offset resistance, and electric chargeability by dispersing core particles into a shell material solution in the acidic pH region, and then, changing the pH of the dispersion to precipitate the shell material and to coat the surfaces of the core particles with it. CONSTITUTION:The positively chargeable low-temperature fixable encapsulated toner is produced by adding acetic acid or the like into an aqueous medium, such as a mixture of water and isopropylalcohol, to adjust pH to the pH region for setting the ionization rate of the shell material component to a desired value regulated by a prescribed formula, dissolving the shell material in said aqueous medium, dispersing the solid core particles into said aqueous medium, then adding aqueous ammonia or the like at a controlled speed and at a desired temperature, such as -10-+30 deg.C, to change the pH of the dispersion down to the region precipitating the shell material, and thus coating the surfaces of the core particles with the shell material. |
