<p>PURPOSE:To surely discriminate each directory information by enabling information required for retrieving to be recorded on the nearest position of a tape and allowing an user to always retrieve the newest information of the content of the tape precisely and easily. CONSTITUTION:In a subcode buffer 309 for temporarily storing subcode information written in a subcode area S, a directory RAM310 storing only the directory information among the subcode information is provided. In case of picture recording, an image signal is passed through a recording amplifier 311, recorded on the video track V of the tape by a rotary head 313. Continuously, while the rotary head 313 is passed through a space area S, the subcode information is read from the buffer 309, passed through the recording amplifier 311 and recorded on the area S of the tape by the rotary head 313. In case of picture reproducing, an SW3 is connected with a VO side, the image signal is outputted and the subcode information is loaded to the buffer 309 in the same way as the picture recording. But the RAM310 is not executed access and the content of the RAM310 is preserved.</p> |
