The filtering device consists essentially of a closed enclosure subdivided into a first chamber 14 in which the fluid to be filtered arrives, and a second chamber 15 in which the filtered fluid is collected. The two chambers are separated by a partition unit 13 comprising a plurality of filter members 16 with tubular walls which are extended inside the first chamber 14. When an excessive blocking of the filter members 16 is noted, the circulation of the fluid in the filtration device is stopped and a blowing system 11, 12 comprising a number of sections 18, each extending inside a corresponding filtration member 16, is brought into action so as to produce the removal of the materials removed during the filtration operation of the filtration members 18 and their fall inside the first chamber 14 towards a discharge opening 8. A number of filtration devices 1 can be mounted as a battery. <IMAGE>
