PURPOSE:To obtain the titled adhesive for backing, having excellent gas yellowing resistance and thermal aging resistance, containing specific amounts of a copolymer latex and a specific pheolic antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. copolymer latex obtained by subjecting 20-70wt.% aliphatic conjugated diene (preferably, 1,3-butadiene), 0.5-8wt.% ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid (e.g. acrylic acid) and 22-79.5wt.% monomer such as styrene to emulsion polymerization is blended with (B) 0.02-6pts.wt. phenolic antioxidant having an ethylenic double bond-containing substituent group and substituent groups at both the ortho- and para-positions with respect to the phenolic hydroxyl group, shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are 1-3c alkyl; R3 and R4 are 1-5C alkyl) and 0-750pts.wt. filler to give an adhesive composition for backing. |
