PURPOSE:To use one branching device selectively as an intermediate and a terminal device by disconnecting a dummy resistor from a core conductor fixation part when the device is used as the intermediate device. CONSTITUTION:When a serial unit is used for a terminal, the shield conductor of a coaxial cable is not fixed by the ohm band 30 of an output terminal. In this state, the core conductor fixation part 32 of the output terminal is connected to a side wall as a reference potential point through the dummy resistor 42 and disturbance such as signal reflection is not caused, so this is used for the terminal. When the unit is used as the intermediate unit, the shield conductor of the coaxial cable is fixed by the band 30. In this state, a projection 48 in the protruded part of the band 30 is pressed to press a discoid body 46 toward an internal surface. Consequently, a spring member 38 is also pressed to disconnect the resistor 42 from the fixation part 32 to allow use as the intermediate unit. |
